Gilde opens branch in Zurich
Netherlands-based investor Gilde Investment Management has opened new offices in Zurich, in order to boost the firms access to the German-speaking market. The board of directors at the new branch comprises of Ralph Wyss, who holds both Dutch and Swiss nationalities, and Nikolai Pronk, who is Dutch. Stephen Jakober, both Swiss and German, is an associate at the new office. Speaking at the opening of the office, Wyss stated 'As a nation, the Dutch naturally have a greater cultural affinity with Germans and the Swiss…We speak the language and understand the culture and the market. We have people who know the market because they both have a German or Swiss background and have extensive work experience in these markets'. In the German-speaking region, Gilde has already built up an considerable track record with the buyouts of organisations such as Beeck Feinkost, Pickenpack, Homann and Armacell in Germany, Kdg Mediatech in Austria, and Soudronic in Switzerland.
