Life Scienve Partners' (LSP) venture partner Professor Hans Clevers, one of the Netherlands' most distinguished scientists and pioneer of WNT signal transduction, is to receive an international accolade for his revolutionary work in the field of colorectal cancer. Professor Clevers, director of the Hubrecht Laboratories/Netherlands Institute of Developmental Biology, is co-recipient of the Louis-Jeantet Prize for Medicine 2004, together with Sir Alec Jeffreys. The award honours scientists who are distinguished for the highest quality of biomedical research in Europe. The two prize winners receive a cumulative sum of E800,000 to carry out their new research projects. In addition each prize winner receives a personal award of E75,000.
