The owners of private equity heavyweight AlpInvest could be looking for a sale, according to reports.
]AlpInvest is owned by Dutch pension funds ABP and PGGM, each holding a 50% stake. ABP, AlpInvest and Crédit Suisse, which is rumoured to have been mandated for the sale, have all declined to comment on the sale. It is thought the pension funds wish to free up capital to invest elsewhere.
