Gilde promotes van de Paer to head of investor relations

Private equity house Gilde Buy Out Partners has promoted Karl van de Paer to head of investor relations and co-investments.
Following the appointment, van de Paer will take over the role from Koos Teule, who will continue as chief financial officer. Alongside his new role as spokesperson with Gilde's investors, van de Paer will lead the GP's co-investments and will be responsible for the firm's portfolio enhancement programme, which aims to support the management teams among Gilde's portfolio companies.
Van de Paer joined Gilde in September 2014 as an investment manager and was subsequently appointed as a partner and associate director in 2015. Prior to joining Gilde, he worked in New York as vice-president at private equity firm Catterton Partners and previously as M&A associate at investment banking firm Evercore Partners. Earlier in his career, he joined McKinsey & Company as a corporate finance consultant in the firm's Amsterdam office.
