Gimv establishes life sciences advisory board
Belgian investor Gimv has established an advisory board of six industry veterans to support its life sciences team.
The board will be made up of Michel Darnaud (former president of cardiac surgery at LivaNova), Peter Hirth (former CEO at Plexxikon), Ismail Kola (former chief science officer at UCB), Kasim Kutay (CEO at LP Novo Holdings), Alexandre LeBeaut (CSO at Ipsen) and Edwin Moses (former CEO of Ablynx). It will assist the Gimv life sciences team with portfolio development, deal sourcing and assessing general industry trends.
Gimv has made more than 80 investments in the life sciences segment since 1982 and its life sciences team sits within the Health & Care platform, which is one of its four thematic investment platforms; the other three are Connected Consumer, Smart Industries and Sustainable cities.
