
Avedon hires Volpi's van der Veer
Avedon Capital Partners has hired former Volpi Capital executive Willem van der Veer as investment manager.
Van der Veer will join Avedon's Amsterdam office and will be responsible for originating and executing on deals across the Benelux and DACH region with an emphasis on the business services sector.
Prior to joining Avedon, van der Veer spent three years at pan-European tech fund Volpi Capital. Volpi closed its debut fund on €185m in 2016, with the expectation of making six platform investments, which it has now made.
Avedon typically makes equity investments in the €10-40m range and closed its third fund on €300m in 2017. It has offices in Amsterdam and Düsseldorf.
