Van den Ende sells stake in Endeit Capital
Joop van den Ende has sold his 50% stake in technology-focused GP Endeit Capital to partners Hubert Deitmers and Martijn Hamann, who will now be the sole owners of the firm.
Managing partner and co-founder Deitmers will own a 75% stake, while partner Hamann will own a 25% stake. Deitmers and van den Ende previously each held a stake of 50%.
Van den Ende is a co-founder of the firm, which was formerly called Van den Ende & Deitmers. He said in a statement that he intends to continue to co-invest alongside the GP.
Founded in 2005, Endeit is based in Amsterdam and Hamburg, and targets businesses in western Europe, focusing on DACH, Benelux, the Nordic region and the UK. The GP makes scale-up deals with the aim of assisting businesses beyond the startup phase in reaching maturity.
Endeit's portfolio currently comprises 11 companies in seven countries, the GP said in a statement. The GP's portfolio companies include Austria-based tourism business Tour Radar and Netherlands-based financial software platform Cevinio. Endeit held a final close for Endeit II in January 2016 on €125m.
