Adams Street appoints BlackRock's Mioch as Benelux head
Private markets investment management firm Adams Street Partners has appointed Joost Mioch from Blackstone as its new head of Benelux.
Mioch spent seven years at BlackRock, during which he was a director and was responsible for the firm's private market investor relations and fundraising activities within the Benelux region. Prior to this, he spent four years at PGGM Investments.
In his new role, Mioch will aim to expand the firm's presence in the Benelux region, building its institutional client and consultant relationships. Mioch will be based in the firm's Munich office.
Adams Street said in a statement that the appointment is part of its plan to serve the demands of a greater share of capital in the Benelux region. The GP has been active in the region for two years and has seen deal volume increase during this period, according to the same statement.
Adams Street is headquartered in Chicago and has 11 offices in total, according to its website. The GP manages secondaries, co-investment and funds-of-funds strategies. Its recent activity includes the final close of Adams Street 2021 Global Fund in December 2021 on USD 832m.
