Avedon promotes new partner
Gerritjan Eggenkamp has been named partner in Avedon Capital Partner's Amsterdam office.
Eggenkamp joined Avedon in 2012 as an investment manager. He started his career as account manager at ING in 2002 before joining McKinsey in 2004, where he stayed for eight years, focusing on strategic and corporate finance projects.
Eggenkamp worked on Avedon's buyout of VanRiet Material Handling Systems, a Dutch provider of handling machinery for manufacturers in May 2014. In 2013, he worked on the investment in 2theloo, a chain of public restrooms that also act as small shops selling gifts and coffee.
Avedon, a spinout of NIBC Bank, closed its first independent fund, NIBC Growth Capital II, on €190m in August 2013 after two years on the road. The vehicle's original target was €200m.
