HPE hires new partner
Dutch growth investor HPE Growth Capital has hired former TPG Capital partner Manfred Krikke as partner.
Krikke is due to start his new role at the firm next Friday (15 August).
Prior to joining HPE, Krikke founded Sonoma Equity Partners, a Dutch private equity and corporate finance advisory firm, in 2010.
He founded the firm following a 16-year stint living in the US, including several years spent working at TPG Capital, which he joined in 2000. During his time at TPG, Krikke acted as a partner of TPG Ventures and took part in fundraising for the $400m TPG Ventures I fund.
Krikke left TPG to establish and raise a $125m mid-market private equity fund. He then left this firm in 2007 to take up the role of CEO for the US subsidiary of his family's cycling business. Krikke then returned to the Netherlands in 2010 to set up Sonoma.
Krikke currently acts as an operating adviser at merchant bank Partnership Capital Growth (PCG), a role he took up in April 2012 after Sonoma entered into a partnership with PCG to expand the latter firm's advisory and investment activities in Europe.
He began his career in 1994 as a technology investment banker at San Francisco-based Montgomery Securities.
