
CVC appoints Benelux and TMT adviser
CVC Capital Partners has appointed Tenet chief executive Duco Sickinghe to its Benelux and TMT advisory boards.
Sickinghe, who will start at CVC on 1 September, is currently chief executive at Tenet, a Belgian cable broadcasting service, where he has been working for more than 10 years. He was named best CEO of a listed Belgian company by a Thompson Reuters survey in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
A Dutch national, Sickinghe has worked in the media environment for 28 years, starting at Hewlett Packard in 1985. He then moved to Next Computer until he co-founded Software Direct in 1993. After joining Wolters-Kluver, where he became general manager of Kluwer Legal & Tax Publishing in the Netherlands, he moved on to Tenet in 2001.
Sickinghe is also chairman of the board of the Van Eeghen Group, and sits on the boards of directors of Central European Media Enterprises and the European Assets Trust.
