EQT appoints Nieuwenburg as new Benelux head
EQT Partners has appointed Kristiaan Nieuwenburg as partner and head of its Benelux operations.
Prior to joining EQT, Nieuwenburg was CFO of RFS Holland Holding, a Dutch e-commerce firm. Between 1999 and 2011, he worked for UK Investment Partners.
Nieuwenburg's appointment highlights EQT's move into the Benelux market, where the firm intends to apply the same industrial and operational approach that it uses in other markets. Nieuwenburg will be based in EQT's Amsterdam office. He will report to Christian Sinding, partner and head of EQT's equity business line.
In June 2011, EQT acquired oil storage terminal Argos Terminals in a deal valued between €100-250m.
