One Equity Partners merges portfolio companies
One Equity Partners has combined its two packaging portfolio companies Schoeller Arca and Linpac Allibert.
The new group will trade under the name Schoeller Allibert and will be based in Zwolle, The Netherlands. The combined business will operate more than 40 production and sales outlets throughout Europe, the US and Asia. Its product range includes foldable containers, plastic pallets and stackable crates. Eric de Bokx will be CEO of the combined group.
One Equity Partners acquired Netherlands-based Schoeller Arca for €428m in August 2007 from Stirling Square Partners. The Vilsteren-based company generated an annual turnover of €465m at the time.
In March 2012, the GP bought Birmingham-based Linpac Allibert from Linpac Group. The transaction was part of Linpac Group's effort to reduce its debt burden. It had already sold assets to Charmonix Private Equity in the year prior. With annual revenues of €181m, Linpac Allibert was valued in the €50-100m range. One Equity Partners had acquired Linpac Allibert with the intention of integrating the business with Schoeller Arca.
