Apax Patners sells remaining stake in Galapagos
Apax Partners' funds and listed vehicle Altamir Amboise has sold its 5.4% remaining stake in listed biotechnology company Galapagos.
The shares were sold to European institutional investors. Kempen & Co acted as placement agent on the transaction.
Apax invested in Galapagos in 2002 and the company was later floated on Eurolist-C by Euronext Brussels and Amsterdam in 2005.
Galapagos is a mid-size biotechnology firm specialising in the discovery and development of small molecule and antibody therapies with novel modes-of-action. It has more than 670 employees and operates facilities in six countries, with global headquarters in Mechelen, Belgium.
