Rene Beukema joins Aescap Venture

Prior to joining Aescap, Beukema worked for the Dutch biopharmaceutical company Crucell. He was a member of the management committee and General Council & Corporate Strategy and executed the market listings of the company on the NYSE/Euronext and NASDAQ. He also led the acquisitions of Swiss Berna Biotech and Swedish SBL Vaccines for Crucell and closed a minority equity deal with Johnson&Johnson, before they acquired Crucell in February 2011.

In 2005, Beukema was seconded for the IPO of the pharma discovery platform Galapagos NV.

In the past, Beukama held positions as senior legal counsel at GE Capital/TIP Europe and legal counsel at TNT Express Worldwide.

At Crucell, he will join Patrick Krol, Michiel de Haan and Dinko Valerio.
