
Mentha Capital acquires Aethon
Dutch private equity house Mentha Capital has acquired Aethon, an employment agency for students and young professionals.
With Mentha's support, Aethon will look to keep enhancing its services in the field of temporary and flexible employment, potentially targeting new sectors and clients.
According to the Financial Times, Aethon has recorded an average growth of 40% per year in recent years and now serves 200 municipalities in the Netherlands.
Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed, but Mentha is likely to have invested through its latest fund, Mentha Capital V, which closed on €143m in January. Fund V is a small-to-mid-cap buyout fund pursuing a strategy similar to that of its predecessor, targeting businesses with an EBITDA ranging between €2-10m with equity tickets per transaction of €5-25m.
The GP was not available for comment at the time of writing.
