Holland Venture Partners sells QSight IT
Netherlands-based growth and buyout capital firm Holland Venture Partners has sold cybersecurity firm QSight IT to Dutch telecommunications group KPN.
Holland Ventures first invested in the company when it was known as QI ICT in 2015; it merged with Onsight Solutions in September 2016 to become QSight IT.
From 2014 onwards, QI ICT had held a strategic stake in Inovativ and expanded its security services to Microsoft's cloud platform. In 2017, the company merged with Sparked, which became InSpark, a Microsoft cloud specialist in the Netherlands.
KPN intends to expand its security services portfolio, as well as its public cloud services through the purchase, which is still subject to regulatory approval.
Holland Venture raised €55m for its latest fund, Holland Venture Entrepreneurs Fund III, in December 2016. The vehicle provides buyout and growth capital to Dutch SMEs in the healthcare and tech sectors.
Company
Established in 2016, QSight IT is headquartered in Delft and employs a staff of 250. The firm offers security services including cybersecurity threat-monitoring services, operational security management and cloud consultancy for companies in the public and private sectors.
It recorded a turnover of €50m in 2016.
