EQT Infrastructure to acquire CAIW
EQT's Infrastructure III fund has signed an agreement to buy Netherlands-based telecoms and infrastructure company CAIW from Rabo Bouwfonds Communication Infrastructure Fund.
The Sweden-based GP's infrastructure vehicle intends to invest in the development of CAIW's growth strategy, strengthening its market position and expanding its existing fibre network.
EQT Infrastructure said it would include CAIW in the same holding as Delta, the Dutch telecoms infrastructure company it acquired in 2016.
The new group management structure will oversee all activities related to both CAIW and Delta. It will be headed by current Delta CEO Marco Visser.
The deal is expected to close in Q4 2017.
Company
Founded in 1981, CAIW is a regional telecoms infrastructure company in the Netherlands, headquartered in Naaldwijk. It owns and operates fibre and coaxial networks, connecting around 350,000 households. CAIW employs a staff of 210 and posted sales of €112m in 2016.
