
Main Capital backs GoConnectIT
Main Capital has acquired a majority stake in the geographic information system (GIS) and field service management specialist GoConnectIT.
The GP invested from Main Capital V, and confirmed the fund's final close will exceed €225m. The fund is substantially larger than its predecessor, Main Capital IV, which held a final close on its €85m hard-cap in September 2015, according to unquote" data. Like its predecessor, Main Capital V makes investments in DACH and Benelux-based small to medium-sized software companies.
Main Capital manages several private equity funds with an AUM of €375m.
The GP will actively support GoConnectIT's organic growth and acquisitions in Belgium and the UK.
Company
Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Nieuwegein, the company provides GIS and field service automation solutions for the cable and pipeline industry. The company supports both the technical and the legal and financial side of cables and pipeline networks for large infrastructural projects.
Some of its clients include large corporations such as Stedin, Heijmans and BAM, as well as public administration bodies.
