
Vortex backs merger of Tritel and Fieber
Vortex Capital Partners has backed the merger of Netherlands-based telecommunications and IT service providers Tritel and Fieber.
The GP drew equity for the transaction from Vortex Buyouts II, a €35m fund that held a final close in December 2017.
Tritel and Fieber is the second investment from the vehicle, which targets SMEs in the Benelux region with turnover between €5-25m. In January, Vortex announced the acquisition of online car marketplace CarsOnTheWeb.
The merger will create a a business that serves 5,000 customers in the Netherlands.

Tritel was founded in 2007 and focuses on providing VoIP, internet access and mobile telecommunications services to SMEs. Fieber targets the lower tiers of the market but has developed a sales and implementation model that Vortex believes to be highly scalable.
