Value Creation, ABN Amro divest Ion-IP to Proximus
Value Creation Capital and ABN Amro have sold Dutch IT security business Ion-IP to Belgian trade buyer Proximus.
The transaction brings to an end a 10-year holding period for the vendors, during which time Ion-IP invested in its managed security services and application performance operations.
Following the deal, the business will be integrated into Proximus's Telindus Netherlands brand.
Previous funding
Value Creation and ABN Amro backed the management buyout of Ion-IP in 2008, according to Unquote sister publication Mergermarket.

Founded in 2003 and headquartered in Veenendaal, Ion-IP is an IT security business. The company has partnerships with F5 Networks, Palo Alto Networks, ExtraHop Networks, WhiteHat Security, CA Technologies, CyberArk and Gemalto. It has a headcount of around 20.
