ArchiMed buys Soest Medical
French healthcare specialist ArchiMed Group has acquired a majority stake in Dutch medical supplies company Soest Medical Group.
The GP drew equity from its €315m Med II vehicle, which held a final close on its hard-cap in September 2017. ArchiMed generally makes equity investments of €5-50m. Debt was arranged by ING.
The company's senior management reinvested in the transaction and will retain equity stakes in the business.
ArchiMed will use Soest Medical as a platform to launch a buy-and-build strategy in the operating theatre products sector. Soest Medical reports revenue growth of 10% a year.

Soest Medical was founded in 1990 and is headquartered in Soest in the Netherlands. The company operates two brands, Eurotape and Somed, which respectively sell reusable and disposable adhesives.
