Waterland buys Heliox
Dutch GP Waterland has bought a stake in Heliox, a Netherlands-based charging stations business.
A spokesperson for Waterland confirmed the fund used was Waterland Private Equity Fund VI, which was closed in April 2015 on €1.55bn. The vehicle typically takes majority stakes in mid-sized companies.
Waterland has previously backed companies focused on the energy sector, including energy suppliers, such as Netherlands-headquartered Nuts Groep earlier this year and Belgium-based Scholt in 2016.
The company aims to grow organically while also considering several acquisitions.

Heliox, founded in 2009 with roots in the Philips organisation, released plug-in chargers for electric buses in 2013. It is currently developing a fast-charging technology alongside European vehicle manufacturers and public transport operators.
The company's fast-charging systems have been installed in 20 countries, including Germany, Luxembourg, France, the UK, Sweden, the Netherlands, Turkey, India, Singapore and New Zealand.
According to Dutch publication Het Financieele Dagblad, the business employs 60 people and generated a turnover of €20m in 2017.
