
DM Equity buys electric bicycles specialist Stella Fietsen
Dutch GP DM Equity Partners has acquired a significant minority stake in Dutch electric bicycles manufacturer Stella Fietsen.
A spokesperson for DM Equity told Unquote the GP typically provides equity tickets of €5-25m and invests preferably in majority stakes but also minority holdings.
DM Equity raised capital commitments of €200m for its first fund in January 2017.
The GP's backing will allow the business to accelerate growth plans, including its geographical expansion outside the Netherlands, especially in Germany.
Company
Nunspeet-based Stella Fietsen was founded in 2010 and is the manufacturer of a range of electrical bikes. The company's turnover is in excess of €100m, Unquote understands.
