
Gimv acquires One Of A Kind Technologies
Gimv has bought a majority stake in Netherlands-based One Of A Kind Technologies (OOAKT), a group of high-tech companies focusing on machine vision.
The two founders, Alex Kind and Richard Viall, have retained a minority stake in the business.
The backing of Gimv will help finance buy-and-build opportunities, including abroad, and step up investments in R&D, sales and customer services. OOAKT's ambition is to triple revenues in five years' time.

OOAKT, founded in 2012 and based in Eindhoven, is a machine vision service providing inspection systems for several industries, including food and pharmaceutical packaging. The business groups several high-tech companies, including Crux Agribotics, a developer of automation systems for the agriculture and food markets, and Vimec, a manufacturer and integrator of inspection machines for the pharmaceutical glass industry.
OOAKT employs around 65 people. The company's turnover is currently €8m, according to Dutch publication Het Financieele Dagblad. The report mentions that Danone and Unilever are some of OOAKT's clients.
