
Nordian Capital backs Codema
Dutch GP Nordian Capital has acquired Netherlands-based Codema Systems Group, a glasshouses specialist, investing alongside management.
The GP acquired a majority stake, according to Dutch daily Het Financieele Dagblad.
Nordian, together with CCO Gideon de Jager and CEO Marcel Koolen, will take over the shares of CEO Maarten de Jager. The company's board will remain unchanged.
Nordian's backing will support Codema's international expansion, as it plans to open branches in North America, Asia and in German speaking countries.
Nordian is currently investing via its Nordian Fund II vehicle, which focuses on the Dutch mid-market and closed in 2014 on €300m.

Founded in 1958, Codema provides horticulture services. It develops glasshouse technology designed to help increase food security and produce more food with fewer resources. The business, based in Bergschenhoek, employs 160 people.
