
Rabo PE backs V&S Food Specialist
Rabo Private Equity has acquired a 40% stake in V&S Food Specialist, a Dutch manufacturer of snacks.
Rabo used Rabo Pariticipaties to invest in the business, which usually invests €2-15m in buyout and growth capital transactions in Dutch companies.
Managing director Eric Postma has retained a majority interest in the business, while other management team members also acquired a stake in V&S.
Rabo will support the company in further strengthening its position in European markets via organic growth and selective acquisitions.

Based in Leiden, V&S is a specialist in the field of convenience food products, including a range of both raw meat and vegetarian snacks.
The business started in the 1980s, when barbequing was a new trend. Its first product was raw satay for grilling and it has since developed a vegetarian meat substitute line.
