Committed Capital backs Connecthing
Amsterdam-based Committed Capital has acquired a stake of around 50% in Connecthing, a Dutch digital platform that specialises in connecting energy suppliers with customers.
Unquote understands that the GP deployed capital from its €22m vehicle Committed Capital Fund I, which held a final close in April 2017 and is now around 50% deployed. In addition, a debt package was provided by ING to partially finance the deal.
The private equity house bought its stake from Connecthing's co-founders and co-directors, Jasper de Vroome, Sietse de Wit and Sjoerd Smit, who retained the remaining holding in the business.
Connecthing plans to use the funds injected by Committed Capital to boost its growth and expansion outside the Netherlands, primarily in Germany and France.

Headquartered in Breda, Connecthing is a CRM platform that compares energy suppliers operating in the Dutch market and connects them with energy consultants and customers. The platform is used by energy suppliers in the Netherlands to access 1,500 energy advisers, who sell energy contracts to individuals and business customers. The company employs a staff of 45 people.
