Main Capital exits Roxit to PE-backed Visma
Main Capital Partners has sold its majority stake in Dutch licensing and planning software developer Roxit to PE-backed software provider Visma.
Unquote understands that the company has an EV of more than €100m.
Main Capital Partners invested in Roxit in 2015 via its third and fourth funds and acquired a majority stake in the company.
Under Main Capital's ownership, Roxit accelerated its organic growth and broadened the reach of its products suite across all verticals of the governmental software market. In addition, Roxit completed several additional acquisitions, including Green Valley, Crotec, Cebes, PSMS and Brein.
Following Roxit's acquisition, Visma expects to become the largest independent provider of cloud software in Benelux, with revenues in excess of €285m.
Visma is backed by a consortium of PE firms including Hg, CPPIB, Cinven, GIC, Intermediate Capital Group and Montagu Private Equity. Since Hg's original investment in 2006, Visma has reported annual revenue growth of 15% and is now valued at more than €6bn, up from €450m in 2006

Arnhem-headquarted Roxit specialises in developing governmental software and back-office applications including permits and code enforcement, spatial planning & mapping, web & enterprise content management, and underground utilities solutions within the private and public markets.
The company employs 250 people and serves around 500 customers across the Netherlands. Its clients base includes Dutch municipalities, water boards, provinces, safety regions, environmental agencies, network operators, contractors and universities.
