Gimv acquires Coolworld Rentals
Gimv has acquired a majority stake in cooling and heating equipment rentals company Coolworld Rentals.
The Buijzen family and Jack Buijnsters, who are the founders of the company, and the management team have retained stakes in the company. Upon completion of the transaction, the current director of sales and marketing Rudd van Mierlo will become CEO. Current CEO Jack Buijnsters will sit on the supervisory board and play an active role in business development.
The company plans to expand its activities in its current home markets, broaden its portfolio of energy-efficient equipment and increase its operating efficiency. Gimv may implement a buy-and-build strategy for the company.

Coolworld, based in Waalwijk, is a full-service rental specialist in cooling and heating equipment. Founded in 1993, it rents out cold storage and freezer cells, along with industrial solutions for process cooling, climate control and heating. Coolworld operates branches, logistics depots and service points in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Austria and Switzerland.
