
NPM Capital buys majority stake in Rooftop Energy
Dutch private equity house NPM Capital has invested alongside management to acquire a majority stake in Rooftop Energy (RTE), a Netherlands-based developer and operator of rooftop solar power plants.
RTE's founders, Leendert Florusse and Raymond Steenvoorden, will keep a share in the company and will remain involved in its activities.
NPM typically invests an initial equity ticket of €25-300m, according to its website. The PE firm recently backed Amsterdam-based fintech specialist Ohpen and fashion chain Suitsupply.

Founded in 2011, RTE is a developer and operator of solar power plants on the rooftops of commercial buildings based in the Netherlands.
The business has completed 175 projects and has 25 employees. It is on schedule to have completed a total of 200 projects with a combined capacity of 100 MWp by the end of 2019. RTE is based in Rotterdam.
