
Main Capital carves out Exxellence and SMQ from Kune
Main Capital has acquired a majority stake in Exxellence and SMQ, formerly part of the Kune Group.
The two companies will form the Exxellence Groep. The GP intends to support the new group in further developing its product portfolio and expanding its customer base.
Main has approximately €1bn in assets under management for investments in mature and growing software companies. Its current portfolio includes software and SaaS companies such as Optimizers, Assessio, GBtec, Onventis, HYPE Innovation, Cleversoft, Enovation, SDB Group and MUIS Software.
Company
Exxellence and SMQ provide software management system and CRM for public organisations. The two companies employ around 100 staff and serve 120 customers throughout the Netherlands, ranging from municipalities and water boards to housing corporations and healthcare institutions.
Their client base includes the municipality of Utrecht, the municipal tax office of Twente and the municipality of Tilburg.
