
Committed Capital buys Intersteel from 5Square
Committed Capital has acquired a majority stake in Netherlands-based Intersteel, a manufacturer of door handles from private equity firm 5Square and shareholder Peter van Leeuwen.
The sale ends a two-year holding period for 5Square, which bought Intersteel from ING Corporate Investments, Rikon Holding and Peter van Leeuwen, who retained a stake in the company.
Under 5Square's ownership, Intersteel increased its revenues, implemented an omni-channel strategy and expanded its product range.

Founded in 1902 under the name Van Leeuwen, Intersteel specialises in designing and manufacturing door handles as well as window fittings with matching accessories.
The company is based in Rhenen and employs 60 staff.
