
Forte Capital buys Dutch toy retailer W&O
Netherlands-based private equity firm Forte Capital has acquired a majority stake in W&O Products, a Dutch provider of children's games and crafts, alongisde its management.
Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed.
The GP said the investment in W&O matched its criteria of investing in "young, fast-growing" Dutch companies that were "internationally active in attractive market segments with ample room to grow".
W&O's CEO, Marc van der Koelen, said Forte Capital will help "professionalise the organisation, extend our product portfolio, as well as consider inorganic growth opportunities in a highly fragmented market".
Company
Founded in 1992 and based in Didam, W&O manufactures and supplies products for children, such as crafts, stationery, seasonal toys and stickers. It has around 50 employees, according to its LinkedIn profile.
