Nordian Capital takes majority stake in BouWatch
Netherlands-based GP Nordian Capital has acquired a majority stake in Dutch surveillance equipment maker BouWatch from parent group Visser Assen.
The current owner and management team will retain a minority stake in BouWatch following the carve-out, while Maarten de Roos will be appointed CEO of the newly independent company.
Nordian plans to fuel BouWatch's international growth with the investment, as well as strengthen and expand the company's product offering.
Company
Founded in 2010, BouWatch is a developer and manufacturer of surveillance equipment.
The company's main product is a camera mast aimed at outdoor surveillance of areas such as construction sites, infrastructure projects and events. BouWatch's mast is equipped with cameras, its own energy supply and an alarm management centre.
Through its partners, the company operates in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Scandinavia and the UK.
