Carlyle acquires Expereo
Carlyle has acquired a majority stake in Expereo, a Dutch managed network operator.
The deal marks the first investment made from Carlyle's new Europe Technology Partners III (CETP III) fund, which reportedly launched last year with a €500m target.
The company's founders have retained a significant stake in the business.

Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Amsterdam, Expereo is a local-access managed network operator. It provides broadband, wifi, virtual private networks, equipment and on-site support to international carriers, cloud providers and integrators.
Expereo has a network across 180 countries and claims to work with more than 2,500 suppliers. It has offices in eight countries, including the Netherlands, the US, Russia and Singapore.

Raj Raithatha is the CEO of Expereo. Vladimir Lasocki is a managing director at Carlyle.
