Gilde's Nspyre bolts on Irmato division
Gilde Equity Management Benelux (GEM) portfolio company Nspyre has acquired the engineering and information services division of Irmato Group, a Dutch engineering and consultancy business.
The activities will be renamed Nspyre Engineering Services. The deal sees 50 Irmato employees from the group's Groningen and Veghel branches become part of the new division.
GEM acquired Nspyre in June 2008 in a management buyout, carving the technical automation business out of Ordina. Six months later, the company merged with Atos Origin's technical automation activities.
At the time of the initial acquisition, Nspyre employed 375 staff. The Utrecht-headquartered company now employs around 600 staff and is expecting to reach €63m in pro forma turnover for this year following the acquisition.

Irmato was founded in 2003 and is headquartered in Strampoy, with several bases located across the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. It employs 300 staff overall.
The company provides engineering and consultancy services for the mechanical and apparatus engineering, automotive and process manufacturing industries. Its engineering and information services division provides secondment services, computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) integration support, as well as product data management services.
