T-Venture backs VeliQ
Deutsche Telekom's venture arm T-Venture has invested in mobility solution specialist VeliQ.
The fresh capital will allow the business to finance its international growth and new technical innovations.
The deal was sourced by T-Venture's colleagues from T-Systems, a network solution provider and subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom.
T-Venture was attracted by the company's product and believes that it responds to growing demand from large corporations in the market.
The investment was made from the €50m T-Systems Venture Fund.
Company
VeliQ is based in Rotterdam and has developed the mobility as a service solution MobiDM. The software enables enterprises to secure and manage smartphones, tablets and mobile apps. Founded in 2006, VeliQ employs 35 staff and the firm's customer base includes government, transport, healthcare and the insurance sector as well as large telecom operators such as Vodafone, Capgemini and Getronics/KPN.
