Newion invests $1.7m in Maps
Newion Investments has injected $1.7m into Maps, a Luxembourg-based provider of data management software for multi-channel marketing.
The Dutch, B2B technology-focused investor marks the seventh investment made from its Newion II fund, which closed on €50m in April 2011.
The amount invested by Newion brings the total sum raised by Maps from outside investors to $3m. Luxembourgish venture capital firm Malta ICI previously invested in Maps in 2012 alongside Chameleon Invest, a Luxembourg seed fund set up by local business angels.
The fresh capital will be used by Maps to scale up the business and expand into new countries; today, the business mainly serves the French market.
Newion was introduced to Maps through Chameleon a few years ago and has since kept an eye on the development of the company.
