
Standard Investment acquires Flatfield
Dutch private equity firm Standard Investment has invested in Flatfield, a Netherlands-based manufacturer of printed circuit boards (PCBs).
The company aims to double its sales in the next five years. Flatfield plans to grow both organically and through acquisitions under Standard's ownership, with a focus on bolt-ons in the German market.
Standard is an Amsterdam-based investor that focuses on the SME market in Belgium and the Netherlands. The firm invests in industrial distribution and production companies with revenues of €10-200m in exchange for a controlling stake.

Founded in 1987, Flatflied is headquartered in Tiel with additional offices in Hong Kong and Shenzhen.
The company is a manufacturer of PCBs, and also provides design consultation, sourcing and logistics services to the electronic manufacturing services and original equipment manufacturing industries. It generates around €22m in turnover.
