
Bencis buys Boval
Bencis Capital Partners has acquired a majority stake in Dutch B2B insurance broker Boval Groep via its Bencis Buyout Fund IV vehicle.
According to the Dutch press, the deal is believed to be worth in the region of €10–50m.
Boval's management team – comprising Jaap Eringa, Jeroen Wiersma and Janwillem Fidder – will not change following the transaction and have remained as shareholders in the company with a minority stake.
Bencis Buyout Fund IV launched in April 2011 with a €400m target. It eventually closed in the November of that year €8m above target.

Founded in 1964 and headquartered in Velserbroek, Boval is an insurance broker specialising in the agricultural contractor, civil engineering, transport, storage and handling sectors.
The company employs 140 staff and generates around €19m in revenues.

Jaap Eringa is the CEO of Boval. Bencis partner Rob Van Der Laan, investment director Dick Moeke and investment manager Rayelle van Leeuwen worked on the deal.
