
Gimv sells off Acertys divisions
Gimv has sold Acertys Groep divisions Acertys Healthcare, Medvision Healthcare and FMH Medical to Belgian company Duo-Med.
As well as selling off these divisions, a preliminary agreement has been reached with a trade buyer for the sale of Heyer, another Acertys division.
The exit has generated a net capital gain of €5.1m for Gimv, representing a gain of €0.20 per share.
Gimv acquired Acertys Group in July 2007, in a deal supported by Fortis Banks and ING, according to unquote" data.
Company
Acertys was formed in 2007 following the merger of several medical suppliers in Belgium and the Netherlands. Today, the group supplies customised services to hospitals and medical specialists in the Benelux region.
Acertys Healthcare and Medvision focus on anaesthesia-monitoring and ventilation, neonatolgy, cardiology, pulmonology, neurology and medical imaging. Meanwhile, FMH Medical focuses on endoscopy and neurology. Heyer Benelux specialises in medical gases and technical equipment for operation rooms and intensive care units.
The three units combined generated turnover of €47m over the last 12 months.
