Gimv sells listed Barco stake
Gimv has sold its 9.62% stake in Barco, a listed Belgian provider of imaging products, to trade player Van de Wiele Group after a holding period of more than 30 years.
Gimv has been a shareholder in the company for more than 30 years, having first invested in 1981, according to unquote" data. Barco floated on the Brussels Stock Exchange in 1986.
Gimv reduced its stake in Barco to 9.6% in April 2004, having previously held a shareholding of 29.6%. The GP sold 2.5 million shares at a price of €66.5 each and raised a total of €166.3m, with capital gains of €127.3m.
Van de Wiele is a provider of equipment and specialised services for the textile manufacturing industry. It employs more than 2,500 staff and generated turnover of €450m with an EBITDA of €84.7m.

The company's product base includes displays and monitors such as air traffic control displays; projectors for large venues and post-production; LED displays; and AV streaming. Barco also provides software solutions and specialised services for various sectors.
The company employs 4,000 staff and generated revenues of around €1.16bn in 2013, as well as an EBITDA of €143.8m.
