AAC Capital buys Corilus
AAC Capital has bought Belgian healthcare ICT company Corilus from its parent, pharmaceutical R&D business Fargon.
Corilus's management team invested in the buyout, in which AAC secured a majority stake. The acquisiton is AAC's third deal in Belgium.
The GP is currently investing from its third Benelux-focused fund, which held a final close in 2013. It targets buyouts valued at up to €150m.
AAC believes the increased collaboration between first-line healthcare providers will lead to greater demand for specific software and ICT products, which Corilus should benefit from.
Company
Based in Namur, Corilus develops software and ICT products for the healthcare sector. It operates in Belgium, the Netherlands and France. The company's products include practice management systems, communication tools, electronic patient records, data exchange and billing systems.
The company employs 350 staff and posted a €44m turnover in 2014.
People
Marc Staal led the deal for AAC.
