
TTF invests in Phoenix
Dutch venture capital firm Twente Technology Fund (TTF) has invested in Netherlands-based software firm Phoenix Software.
Phoenix will use the capital for business growth, with a particular focus on expanding its position in the integrated photonics tools market.
TTF is a venture capital fund that invests in technology companies with a focus on nanotechnology, life sciences, IT and semiconductors in the Twente region of the Netherlands.

Founded in 2003 and headquartered in Enschede, Phoenix is a developer of software for micro- and nano-technologies.
Its OptoDesigner software product is designed for the integrated photonics market and offers photonics simulation capabilities and layout implementation.
Customers include universities, research institutes and corporates.

Twan Korthorst is the CEO of Phoenix. Nard Sintenie is a partner at TTF and sits on the company's board of directors.
