Van den Ende & Deitmers backs Pictura
Van den Ende & Deitmers has taken a 45% stake in Pictura, a Dutch business that digitises cultural heritage collections for various organisations.
The GP usually invests €3-8m per transaction. The additional funds will mainly be used for Pictura's international expansion through acquisitions and joint ventures.
Van den Ende & Deitmers was attracted by Pictura's technology and the growth prospects offered by the digitisation market: digitising Europe's cultural heritage is becoming increasingly important, and only 8% of the Netherlands' heritage has been digitised and made public so far.

Established in 1998, Pictura performs digitisation of cultural heritage - it also develops collection management software and undertakes the hosting and storage of digital assets. Its main clients are museums, archives and institutions protecting historical buildings.
The Heiloo-based business employs around 50 staff and generates revenues in excess of €5m.

Hubert Deitmers led the deal for Van den Ende & Deitmers. Onno Zaman is CEO of Pictura.
