Private Plus Fund and NV Nom have acquired a large minority stake in Kip Caravans from the insolvent Tirus Group. ABM Amro provided senior debt for the transaction. The municipality of Hoogeveen has played a supporting role during the investment project.

Founded in 1947, Kip Caravans is a Dutch caravan producer. The company was part of the Tirus Group, which owned caravan factories in the Netherlands, the UK, Sweden and Belgium. In November 2007 Kip Caravans went bankrupt. Tyrus Group’s Belgian factories in Chateau and Beyerland also went bankrupt. The remaining factories in the UK and Sweden are still active, but have been sold to third parties.People
