Parcom invests in Barge Master
Parcom Capital has acquired a majority stake in Barge Master, a Dutch developer of motion compensation technology for the maritime and offshore industries.
Led by CEO and founder Martijn Koppert, the company's management has invested alongside Parcom.
Historic backer Frans van Seumeren, who invested in Barge Master in 2010, has also rolled over part of his existing stake to stay involved in the business.
According to Dutch daily Het Financieele Dagblad, Parcom has paid €20m for a 60% stake. Management hold a 25% shareholding, with van Seumeren owning the remainder.
The sale came about as van Seumeren no longer wished to remain the sole shareholder of Barge Masters due to the growth of his main investments, Roll-Dock and Roll-Lift.
