
Flytxt raises $11m from Sunrise et al.
Dutch data analytics service Flytxt has raised $11m in a funding round led by Sunrise Capital and Big Data Investments.
The business's previous backers – including VC firms Clifton Holding and IVC Venture Capital, as well as investment vehicles RM Beteiligungsverwaltung and Schnell Consult Investing – invested alongside Sunrise and Big Data Investments.
Flytxt expects to strenghten its operations within the communication service provider (CSP) sector, and extend its mobile consumer analytics offering to additional industry segments. With Sunrise and Big Data Investments as new shareholders, the business is aiming to double its current workforce.

Founded in 2008, Flytxt is a data analytics company that specialises in internal and external monetisation services for clients in the CSP and mobile sectors. The business claims to have processed data from 500 million mobile users for 50 customers across 32 countries.
Headquartered in Nieuwegein, the Netherlands, the company operates additional offices in Dubai and is also established in London, Mexico City, Trivandrum, Mumbai, Dhaka, Singapore, Lagos and Nairobi.

Sunrise Capital was represented by Brigitte Mohn, while Frits Baron van Dedem led the deal for Big Data Investments. Both will join the company's board. Joerg Swoboda is chairperson at Flytxt.
