Gilde Equity Management acquires BlueCielo
Gilde Equity Management has bought Dutch software company BlueCielo from a group of financial and private shareholders.
Gilde took a majority stake in the business. ING provided financing for the transaction.
Company
BlueCielo is a Rijkswijk-based software company, founded in 1985. It develops software solutions for capital asset management of businesses in the oil & gas, energy and pharmaceutical industries.
BlueCielo took a 70% stake in Finnish software business Kronodoc Oy in April 2010.
With sales offices in Europe, Russia, Brazil and the US, the company caters to more than 1,800 clients across 50 countries. It employs around 175 people.

Jeroen Nienhaus and David van Hasselt led the deal on behalf of Gilde. Rainer Puittinen is CEO of BlueCielo.
